"Our God is love. God’s
love for us is called agape love. His love for us never changes. Even when
we don’t love God, God still loves us. His agape love created us in
His image, and gave us a beautiful garden to live in, the Garden of Eden.
Around the garden were four rivers. There were fruit trees, flowers, and
animals. The garden was filled with peace and love. Everything in the garden,
the wind, the grass, and the flowers, praised God. The whole earth was praising
God. It was in this garden that Adam and Eve walked with God. They called
on Him at any time. God visited them and they had an intimate, beautiful
relationship with our Elohim.
One day Eve had a visitation from the betrayer. His name is Satan. When Eve looked at Satan, he started poisoning her mind. Soon poison spread out into her heart, and then into her spirit, soul, and body. After that, poison got into every part of her body. She became the second betrayer. Then that poison went after her husband, Adam. That poison was sin. Sin called to Adam and poisoned him. Soon he became a betrayer, too. Adam betrayed God and turned away from agape love, but agape love was greater than sin. Agape love cried out for the souls of Adam and Eve and called their names to come back to God. When Adam refused to reconcile with Him, he became the third betrayer. Who is a betrayer? In the past 6,000 years of human history people have been betraying Yahweh God. Every human being has this experience of betraying our Maker. Not even one person in this world has been faithful to God and obeyed Him all the way to the end. We have all experienced betraying Jesus and turning our backs on God. We have all denied God. Also, we have had the experience of being betrayed by people and betraying others. Every time someone betrays us we feel very discouraged. If we don’t take care of that discouragement, it turns into a bitter heart. Because we have the experience of being betrayed by someone, we close our hearts to protect ourselves. When we close our heart to our betrayers, it means that we also close our heart on God. God has commanded us to guard our hearts, but He never told us to close our hearts. A lot of people have a misunderstanding about the difference between closing our hearts and guarding our hearts. They are two different things. In the Bible there are many different people who have closed their hearts on God and betrayed Him. As soon as Adam and Eve betrayed God, their hearts were closed to Him. Their hearts were filled with covetousness. They never again had a successful life. They had to watch their children kill one another. They saw bloodshed, death, anger, hatred, strife, and division in their family. Cain betrayed his brother, Abel. The fruit of betrayal was murder. Abel’s blood cried out from the ground. God heard the cry of his innocent blood. After Abel’s death, God looked for Cain and said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.”
Every time we betray someone, their innocent spirit and soul cries out to God. Betraying someone is a generational curse. Turning our back on someone is a generational curse. Even today people inherit the spirit of betrayal. Cain betrayed his brother. That spirit passed down to him from his parents, Adam and Eve. The spirit of betrayal always brings thorns, thistles, sweat, and blood to our lives. It brings a generational curse to our families. How does God deal with those who betray Him? We need to follow His example. Today evil is everywhere. Wives betray husbands. Husbands betray wives. Kings betray their own people. People betray their king. Nations betray nations. Children betray their parents. Parents betray their children. Friends betray one another. Business partners betray one another. This betrayal brings scars; people have scars on their hearts. Betrayal always leaves a scar on people’s hearts, lives, and history. Human history is filled with scars. Those scars are caused by betraying one another. Let’s examine our hearts to see how many times we have betrayed God. If you say that you have never betrayed Him, it would mean that you are perfect. There are two types of betrayal. One type of betrayal is forgiven by God. This is when you cry out to God and seek God. The other type of betrayal has no repentance. Without repentance there is no forgiveness. This is just like Judas. His betrayal is called everlasting betrayal. It doesn’t matter if you have the spirit of Judas, Adam and Eve, or Peter, we all need to recognize that we have the ability to betray God and our loved ones." "Who betrayed Jesus?
