Bone of My Bone, Flesh of My Flesh

"In the Garden, man’s love for woman failed; woman’s love for man failed. They both failed and then they both blamed one another. Adam and Eve had conditional love. This is why they easily blamed one another. As the man and woman blamed one another, God spoke to them; He judged them.

The good news is that when we fail, God never takes away His love for us. He comes to us and calls our names, to help us and restore us.

God saw people’s wicked hearts, that there was nothing good in humans. Therefore God sent Jesus to show us perfect love. He came to teach us how to love one another. He came to teach us about agape love, everlasting love, giving love, sacrificing love, and forgiving love.

The love of God will never pass away. His love will reign forever. Every human being needs to understand that “agape” love will cover a multitude of sins. Our “eros” and “phileo” love want to run away from God, and run away from each other in time of trial. Agape love is always steadfast for others and brings hope, light, and life to others.

We need to have agape love. Then husband and wife will be willing to sacrifice their lives for each other. If husband and wife have agape love, their marriage will be joyful and peaceful. They will have a heavenly marriage. Every marriage needs to have agape love, eros love, and phileo love. If you have these three types of love, you can put the devil under your feet and have a glorious, victorious, and heavenly marriage.

Ephesians 5:20-33
…giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God.
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

The relationship between husband and wife is a great mystery. God wants to use this mystery to reveal His plan and establish His kingdom.

Just remember that true love requires sacrifice. Sacrifice always produces perfect love."
